PRIORITIZING OUR CHRISTMAS BUDGET |

The temptation during the holidays is to spend too much money showering loved ones with gifts they don't need. Unfortunately, our culture wants us to indulge further in materialism, thinking the only way to show our love is to spend money-and lots of it.
One way we can help keep God's kingdom in proper focus is to track the amount we spend on ourselves and others at Christmas time and give that same amount to missions. We can give to a specific missionary, or to a denomination's missions program, or designate it through our church. But this will help us either cut back on our Christmas spending, or at least advance missions.
Perhaps some people will not be able to give a large sum to missions this year, especially if they've already spent too much on Christmas gifts. But it's a worthy goal to plan for next year.
Merry Christmas!
