I have been meaning to get to this Data Room review for some time now, but always put it off as “not worthwhile.” I even bought a “data room” CD and listened to it for a while. Go to Ansrada Review.
The premise of the Data Room is a simple one: play back a CD of music while you listen to the sound on the sound card. After each song, you can print out the song title to review in your study or at work. It sounds pretty simple, but it’s so much more.
When I first listened to the Data Room, I wondered if it would work. When the music stopped playing, there was a pause and I had to wait a few seconds for my computer to load up again. If you’re driving or operating heavy machinery, that could be annoying. Many people aren’t familiar with the Data Room and will just ignore it as a waste of time.
I purchased the software anyway, because I didn’t know any better. After a short time, I was pleasantly surprised. I started using the software immediately and was very impressed with the results.
The basics are pretty simple. First, you’ll need to download the program onto your computer. In this case, it’s called DATA ROOM CD-ROM SOFTWARE.
As soon as you’re downloading, you can start working. The first step is to use the “Create File…” button to enter a file name for your name and password.
Then, you’ll need to add some basic data into the box provided by DATA ROOM. You’ll probably have to click “add” and then “format.” On my computer, that took a few minutes to complete.
After this, you need to create a new folder on your hard drive where you will save your song files. Choose where you want the folder to be, open the folder and copy the two songs in that folder to the new folder.
Finally, you need to put the DATA ROOM CD-ROM software onto your computer. Select the Data Room icon and then select “browse.” Make sure the “use CD-ROM drive” option is selected, then click the “OK” button.
From there, you’re ready to select a new file and navigate to the folder where you want to store your saved files. You can also run multiple projects.
When you’re finished, copy songs into your My Music folder. You’ll have access to every single song, in any form, in your My Music folder.
DOR CARLSSON originally created this program in 1994. Today, it has become extremely popular, but has never lost its humble roots. It doesn’t cost much to get a decent version, and it also offers additional features like “open in…” and “share.”
